Han became the first Chinese player drafted into the WNBA since 1997 when New York took her 14th overall in 2019, arriving with the added distinction of being the first NBA Academy graduate ever drafted into the league. She's split time between the Liberty and China's top domestic league ever since, winning back-to-back WCBA MVP awards in 2021 and 2022 during stretches away from New York.
